Please join Mobilia Gallery in welcoming all of the artists at a private viewing on Thursday, September 22nd, 2011 6-8pm

Mobilia is celebrating the opening of the Permanent Jewelry collection of the MFA in Boston with the opening of Objects of Status, Power and Adornment.  The exhibition will be up through the end of November.  Mobilia is open Tuesday through Friday 11-6 and Saturdays 10-5.

I am very fortunate to share some of my new work with Mobilia Gallery as one of the participating artists.  Much of my collection can be seen in older postings through my blog and and the larger necklaces, bracelets and earrings are currently on view and are for sale at Mobilia Gallery. Each piece is also on sale through my etsy store: http://www.etsy.com/people/LeahMJewelry

Turquoise Pendant

Floral Graphic Cuff

freshly launched!

I was given the chance to take advantage of a teacher's summer vacation to create a new line of work and to begin my career as a jeweler. I have been working diligently since the beginning of July to create a body of work.  My work investigated radial patterns and fractals found in nature. Radiating natural patterns turn silver into bold, clean, flowing lines.  I am very excited to be able to share my new collection with you!

Salt Crystals! One of my loves

Helena Lindholm takes an intangible dream-like qualities and transforms them into objects of beauty

I love her use of the salt crystals, the growth, decay and illusion of grandeur

sense of play, experimentation and freedom

Artist Joanne Huang remembers the days of playing, honoring a mix of materials, observations...

...and fun wearable creations

silver, paper mache, resin, black crystal

Commissioned birthday gift!

fun project for one of my friend's girlfriend; who has a love for elephants and lots of freedom to design without too many boundaries, just a vision...some of my sketches
End result! A sterling silver elephant.

Sterling Silver Charms...the size of a bottle cap

Radial Paths, Nautilus Dissections both created out of sterling silver as gifts for christmas by me this winter.
